INTRODUCTION
About NIAB NIAB, an autonomous institute under the aegis of Department of Biotechnology,
Government of India, is aimed to harness novel and emerging biotechnologies and create
knowledge in the cutting edge areas for improving animal health and productivity The Institutes
research focus is on infectious diseases, animal genetics and genomics, reproductive biotechnology,
nutritional enrichment, and bioinformatics The Institute aims at translational research leading to
genetic enhancement of Indian Livestock species and development of novel vaccines, diagnostics and
improved therapeutic molecules for farm animals The Institute plans to promote bio entrepreneurship
by providing supportive and stimulating academic and creative environment for commercial tenants
involved in the development of farm animal based products and services Senior Research Fellow
COURSE AND ELIGIBILITY

Fellowship:
18,000 plus 30 % HRA p.m. One Senior Research Fellow is required to work in a project Evaluation of Anti-inflammatory Natural
Compounds for Therapeutic use in Mastitis of Dairy Animals funded by National Medicinal Plants Board, New Delhi
Duration:
The duration of fellowship is for a period of two years, subject to review after one year, extendable for one more year
CAREER PROSPECTS
Qualification:
M.Sc/ M.Tech/ M.V.Sc or Integrated BS-MS in any branch of Life Sciences with two years research experience in working on
isolation, characterization of active principles from medicinal plants and their evaluation for anti-inflammatory properties Hands on
